Dr. Guerrero is the research director and Faculty at the i-Lead Institute at REHD Corp.
Before completing his doctorate, Dr. Guerrero was a clinician for 13 years serving hundreds of families affected by child and or partner abuse.
Dr. Guerrero was the first Mexican National who graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration.
Trained as an organizational and implementation scientist, Professor Guerrero has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in the top scientific journals in his field.
Professor Guerrero has received awards every year since 2009 for his program of research on Latino disparities in behavioral health services and implementation of culturally responsive and evidence-based practices in health care settings.
Dr. Guerrero has received over six million dollars in federal and state funding and trained more than 20 early stage investigators on the latest organization and implementation research methodologies to improve quality of care.
Dr. Guerrero also leads international studies in health care in Mexico, Brazil and Spain. Altogether, his findings have informed policy and organizational interventions to help improve the effectiveness of behavioral health services on vulnerable populations.
